The inaugural Young Designer of the Year Award 2008 has received an impressive 40 entries for its first event. Sponsored by CNI and co-organised by the Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA), this ground-breaking competition showcases the winning talent, out of five finalists, during Boat International World Superyacht Awards held in Venice on 18 April, the winner of which will receive a €5000 reward. The judging panel for the Young Designer of the Year Award comprises the industry best.
